Perhaps another idea for Christmas. For the ones who are not so fond of meat and like delicious, but light meals. What made me think of this one as a Christmas dish?

Christmas Cookies
Christmas cookies are the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season and are a family favorite they wait for all year long. And what better smell during the holiday season than that of freshly baked gingerbread cookies and a Christmas tree that has just been put up.

Steak with Red Wine Sauce, Mashed Potatoes & Celeriac
I guess it is time for some festive recipes. Christmas is around the corner and I know that most mums/grandmothers (wifes, girlfriends, or dads, grandfathers, boyfriends, etc.) are already thinking what to serve their families for Christmas dinner. Over the coming weeks I will try to give you some ideas for delicious, nice-looking, but still fairly easy to cook possible Christmas foods.

French Onion Soup
French onion soup is a hearty soup that is perfect for those cold winter nights. I’m firmly of the belief that no matter what ails you in the realm of the kitchen, onion soup can cure it.

Cinnamon Rolls
Who doesn’t love the smell of freshly baked goods early in the morning?! I sure do. These cinnamon rolls you can make the night before and bake the next morning. Perfect!

Pumpkin Cookies with Chocolate Glaze
It’s pumpkin time! It’s time for Halloween, pumpkin carving, pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies! I always buy 1 big pumpkin at the beginning of the season, cut up the edible part into cubes and freeze them in different sized zip lock bags. This always encourages me to find new recipes with pumpkin in them. Pumpkin soup is always a must for me during the Halloween season! But let me start with pumpkin cookies.

Curry Tortillas
Perfect for lunch, as a snack or a starter. I realize there is nothing really innovative about this dish, it is ridiculously simple and easy to make, but it’s always an idea that maybe some people reading this haven’t thought of yet.

Grilled Beef with Mint Marinade & Sauce
Most people cook meat week in, week out. Pork, lamb, beef, chicken – we all cook them. However, it can get fairly tricky not to fall into the routine of making your meat the exact same way every single time. A great idea to keep a nice amount of variety in the meat department is to use marinades and rubs.

Roast Pork with Plums & Apple Sauce
I have never been a fan of pork. I am all about white meat. Sometimes beef. But I never quite knew what to do with pork. However, I do like trying new things. So I took a traditional Polish recipe for preparing roast pork loin with plums and added my own twist to it (the marinade). It turned out quite delicious and will for sure land on our table quite regularly. It’s a keeper!
